Blog Theme Finished

I have been to and from hospital which has caused delays in my blog, but now I have finally been able to put the finishing touches on my blog theme.

As the template is going to eventually be used for my digital portfolio, I made the banner using a 3D renders which I did for my most recent architecture project.

I will probably end up developing my theme further when I start using it for specific needs. But currently I am quite happy with the simplistic aesthetics.

Delay with my blog theme

I have a produced a photoshop template for my blog, but unfortunatley I have not yet been able to incorporate it into my blog,

This is because my father has been in intensive care and I have had to attend to family worries.

I hope to have my blog theme complete only a day late.

Note: I have placed a temporary Graphic of my stonefest style as my current banner. I hope to have my template incorporated tommorow.

My blog theme

My goal is to eventially turn this blog template into my online portfolio, so for the graphics I intend to incorporate my architecture projects into the graphic scheme.

I've added a few cool features such as:

• a youtube channel of one of my favourite bands
• rss feed of daily artworks from deviantart website
• a poll with user voting
• fresh graphics
• altered colour theme

Ive been fluffing around with the template and the HTML side of things, but it is very strict and am still looking to modify a few things before I believe my blog is complete.

W3C Markup validator

After putting my site through the W3C Markup validator. I have 24 errors and 56 warnings. I don't understand most of them though because when using dreamweaver it says that these particular instances are correct. The website displays exactly how I want it to display in both firefox and internet explorer. I think I need to research into why these problems are coming up, and whether or not they effect my site at all.

I just hope I havn't forgotten to include something in my site. Since it is very easy to forget something just as it is to fix.

Site Layout

The layout for my site is not yet set in stone as I am always changing my the .psd of my draft whenever I find something I like or think I can make better.

At this stage my site layout will contain:

• Navigation Banner with all major links at the top
  
• Followed by other links across the left hand side
• The main content will be directly below the navigation banner
• Affiliates and links to other sites on the right hand side.
• With a Footer of some kind at the bottom of the page
